Fajr Filmfest screens Iran animation

Iranian animation ‘The Elephant King’ has been scheduled to be screened at the 36th edition of Fajr International Film Festival (FIFF).

Directed by Hadi Mohammadian, ‘The Elephant King’ is to attend this year’s edition of the Iranian important film event.

Produced by Iran-based Honar Pooya Group, the animation has been described as a step forward both from the view point of technique and content.

Running for 90 minutes in collaboration with a team of 150 professionals, the animated film has the largest number of characters among Iranian animations.

Set in Africa, the animation film ‘The Elephant King’ narrates the story of an elephant who rules over its group like a king.

The queen bears him a son and everybody expects the son to replace his father as heir to the throne. The clumsy baby elephant, however, disappoints them all.

The 36th edition of Fajr International Film Festival is slated for November 1-11, 2018, Tehran, Iran.
